Also this morning, the NewbieNetwork has a link to a neat eWeek Article that compares some of the major datbases that are out there today, including: IBM's DB2 7.2, Oracle Corp.'s Oracle9i Enterprise Edition 9.0.1.1.1, and MySQL AB's MySQL 4.0.1 Max. No big surprises here, Overall, Oracle9i and MySQL had the best performance and scalability, with Oracle9i just very slightly ahead of MySQL for most of the run. Two of the favorites came out on top - the powerhouse of the database world and the light, quick, strong Open Source favorite.
One thing I like about Evolt.org is that they don't limit themselves to one thing - and one of the newer features that I've enjoyed are things like this article. It's basically a "What can we learn..." from the Travelocity website. It talks about page placement, resolution changes and other smaller details that make a site really useful. Too many people throw up a page without considering how it will be used by the people viewing it (I know it's something I still struggle with) - but it have any kind of success, you need a nice, clean, easy-to-understand website...

Every action taken is a try to make something proprietary that the internet community can't live without. Good business thinking, but
damn close to world domination issues if you ask me.
